
Porridge
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Cooking the porridge properly isn't that simple. When I first made it, the grains stuck together and it turned out bland. I didn't feel like eating it at all—instead, I just wanted to throw it away quickly. So I read up on instructions for proper cooking and tried again. And this time it worked! Use my tips, they'll come in handy. The finished dish can now be served.

Rinse the grain thoroughly until the water runs clear. Pour it into a saucepan with two glasses of salted water and place over heat.

Bring the water to a boil over medium heat, then simmer for 20 minutes over low heat. Immediately add the butter and cover with a lid.

Let the porridge stand for 10 minutes, covered. Serve the grain as a side dish with meat or as a standalone breakfast dish.
