Wheat sprout porridge
Description
To prepare porridge from sprouted wheat, you first need to sprout the wheat. It's not difficult, but it will take a bit of time. It's best to start in the evening so that the wheat will have sprouted by morning. The finished porridge is not only healthy but also delicious—you can add berries, nuts, or even chocolate to it.

Step 1

First, you need to sprout the wheat: rinse it a couple of times in warm water to remove all debris. Then soak it in cold water overnight for 6-8 hours. It's best to do this in the evening.

Step 2

Then rinse the wheat again, place it in handfuls onto a flat plate, spread it out slightly, and add a small amount of water (not too much—just enough so that the wheat is partially submerged). Cover loosely with another plate and leave it overnight to sprout. In the morning, you'll see small white sprouts, which means the wheat has successfully sprouted.

Step 3

Now cook the porridge: take two tablespoons of sprouted wheat, two tablespoons of oat flakes, and one tablespoon of raisins. Add everything to a saucepan with boiling water (about one cup) and simmer without letting it boil, which is very important. Then wrap the pot in a towel and let it stand for about 15 minutes. If desired, add berries or chocolate to the finished sprouted wheat porridge.
