Chickpea porridge
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The main secret of this recipe is to soak the chickpeas in water with baking soda beforehand. This makes them cook faster, become softer, and easier to digest. Food-grade (not baking) yeast is optional and added for a cheesy-nutty flavor. You can also add cherry tomatoes to the sauté. The porridge turns out thick and very filling, perfect for a hearty breakfast or as a main dish for dinner. Serve the finished dish warm.
