Whole wheat porridge
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I'm sharing with you a simple recipe for whole wheat porridge. Of course, this dish is not for everyone—many people don't enjoy chewing porridge slowly and thoroughly, although it's actually extremely beneficial. This porridge helps fight toxins by effectively cleansing the intestines and the entire body. I'm sure those who enjoy healthy eating and wouldn't mind losing a few centimeters around the waist will like it: it provides long-lasting fullness, so you won't snack on just anything and will lose weight faster. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. Rinse the grain thoroughly until the water runs clear, then cover with water and leave it in a deep container—the porridge will nearly double in volume, so there should be enough space. Leave it overnight.

2. Now rinse the grain once again and drain it in a colander. Meanwhile, bring the broth with all the added ingredients and spices (to your taste) to a boil. When it starts boiling, add the grain, reduce the heat, and simmer covered for 45–60 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, wash the carrot, peel it, and grate finely. If you want the porridge to be diet-friendly, add raw carrot to the porridge when serving. If not, sauté the carrot in vegetable oil, then add it to the porridge.
