
Porridge
Description
Everyone loves porridge: from little ones to adults. The key to cooking it is to thoroughly rinse the grains. You can easily adjust the thickness of the porridge with milk, so there won't be any surprises. Try it and remember it.

Prepare the grains for cooking. Sort the rice and millet to remove any debris. Rinse them thoroughly until the water runs clear.

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, and pour boiling water over the millet, letting it soak for 5-6 minutes. Then drain the water—this will remove the bitterness.

Put rice, millet, a pinch of salt, and sugar into a saucepan. Pour in water and cook until done. In a multicooker, select the "Porridge" setting, set the time to 35–40 minutes.

When the porridge is fully cooked, pour in the milk, stir, and bring the porridge to a boil. Turn off the heat. Adjust the thickness of the porridge with milk.

Serve the cooked porridge hot with a piece of butter.
