Potatoes in their jackets
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Peel and wash the potatoes, then coat them with a sauce made of sour cream, herbs, spices, and garlic. Next, wrap each potato with bacon and place them in the air fryer to bake. Serve the finished dish hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and boil in their skins. Salt the water in which the potatoes will be boiled and season with rosemary.
- 2
Step 2

Don't skimp on rosemary; the potatoes should be aromatic. Boil the potatoes until half-cooked, about 10 minutes after the water starts boiling.
- 3
Step 3

While the potatoes are boiling, we'll prepare the sauce. For the sauce, we need to finely chop the herbs.
- 4
Step 4

Sprinkle with black pepper, and add finely chopped garlic as well.
- 5
Step 5

Mix with sour cream. The sauce is ready.
- 6
Step 6

We've prepared the sauce, now all that's left is the potato. It needs to be cooled to room temperature.
- 7
Step 7

We coat the potatoes with sauce, or we can simply dip them in the sauce.
- 8
Step 8

And wrap it with bacon. You can secure it with a toothpick. I hoped it would hold together without, but that didn't work—the bacon kept trying to unravel, so next time I won't take the risk and will use a toothpick.
- 9
Step 9

For those who enjoy a smoky flavor, brush each potato with liquid smoke. Although the bacon is already smoked, so there will be a smoky aroma anyway.
- 10
Step 10

Place our potatoes in the air fryer on the lower rack to finish cooking and crisp up the bacon. Once the bacon is nicely browned, it's a sure sign that the potatoes inside are done. Just make sure to flip them once. If you don't have an air fryer, no problem—baked in the oven, potatoes in their skins will also be very delicious.

Step 11

Serve the jacket potatoes with sauce.
