
Potatoes in milk

Peel and rinse the potatoes.

Slice the potatoes into 15-20 mm thick rounds. Mix the sliced potatoes, milk, salt, and a good pinch of nutmeg in a saucepan. Bring the milk to a boil over medium heat, then continue cooking the potatoes for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While the potatoes are boiling, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Rub the inside of the baking dish, in which you will bake the potatoes, with garlic. Transfer half of the potatoes to the baking dish and pour in half of the cream. Add the remaining potatoes and pour in the rest of the cream.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the potatoes are covered with a beautiful golden crust. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
