
Potatoes in the oven with sour cream and cheese
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This baked potato with sour cream and cheese will become not only a highlight of a family dinner but also a great alternative to hot dishes at a festive table. It takes about 1.5–2 hours to prepare. The potatoes are first fried until golden brown, then baked in a sour cream sauce with cheese and onions. Serve hot.

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them lengthwise. The amount of potatoes depends on their size and the number of servings. I usually take about 4-5 large potatoes and cut each into 4 pieces.

2. Sauté the sliced tubers slightly in a saucepan or frying pan. Use vegetable oil for frying.

5. Separately sauté the onion.

7. Add spices and two types of onions to the sour cream, mix thoroughly. It's better to use sour cream with 15% fat content. Add potatoes to the sauce, mix everything thoroughly.

8. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes so the potatoes absorb the sauce.

9. Place the fried potatoes into a baking dish, top with onions, and sprinkle everything with cheese. Bake the potatoes in the oven with sour cream and cheese for about 45 minutes. Adjust the oven temperature to your preference.
