
Potatoes in a cast-iron skillet in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To prepare potatoes in a cast-iron pot in the oven, we'll need a medium-sized Dutch oven and some meat. I chose pork, as it cooks faster than beef or lamb. By the way, meat spices go perfectly with potatoes! And sour cream sauce goes very well with both meat and potatoes. See the recipe below. Serve hot.

Prepare the ingredients. Cut the meat and potatoes into cubes.

Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into slices. Season the meat well with salt and pepper, and use spices for meat stew.

Fry the meat with onion and carrot.

Add tomato paste and soy sauce to the sour cream and mix well. Place potatoes at the bottom of the cast-iron pot, then put the meat on top. Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Add the sour cream sauce, as well as additional spices to taste. Don't forget the garlic. Cook covered for about an hour. Then check for doneness; if necessary, add more water and simmer for another half hour.

Serve the finished potatoes in a cast-iron skillet from the oven with fresh vegetables or sauerkraut.
