Potatoes with bacon over the campfire

Description

This is a very simple recipe for preparing potatoes with bacon over a fire. We'll be cooking not directly over an open flame, but using a barbecue grill, as it's much more convenient. The slices of potatoes and bacon must alternate with each other so that the potatoes absorb the juices and flavors as well as possible. Variant,

   First, slice the fat very thinly.

   Wash and peel the young potatoes. Slice them thinly. Thread the potato slices onto skewers, alternating with slices of pork fat.

   Wrap the skewers in foil and place them on the grill with hot coals from the fire. Cook for 10 minutes in foil, then remove the foil and continue cooking the potatoes with bacon until fully done.
