Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. If guests are coming and you'd like to treat them to something simple yet delicious, I recommend trying this. Serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take any shortbread cookie and break it into pieces by hand. Put the pieces into a small bowl. Crush them until there are no large chunks left.
- 2
Step 2

Do the same with the waffles. It's better to use the classic "Artek" without flavor additives and flavorings.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the chocolate over a water bath, previously breaking it into pieces and pouring milk over it. Pour it into the mixer bowl. Add softened butter and beat with a mixer until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Add the cocoa powder to the mixture. Beat again until completely smooth. Add the cognac, continuing to beat. If you are serving the pastries to children, use non-alcoholic rum essence instead.

Step 5

Add the resulting mixture to the crushed liver and wafers. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the mixture becomes quite dense. Roll into balls with your hands, then roll them in coconut flakes and cocoa. Place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to let the pastries set.
