Potato roll
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Potatoes are one of the main products in our diet today; they can be used both as a side dish and as a base for main courses. Today I'll tell you how to make one such wonderful dish and share with you my simple recipe for a potato roll. I absolutely love this roll because it always turns out filling and incredibly delicious. You can prepare it with various fillings—meat, fish, or vegetables for a fasting version. In this case, we'll make a homemade potato roll and fill it with chopped eggs and onions, as this is one of the family's favorite fillings. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, we need to boil the potatoes (in their skins) until fully cooked; the water should be salted. Once the potatoes are cooked, let them cool slightly, then peel off the skin.
- 2
Step 2

Next, we chop the onion and fry it in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- 3
Step 3

Boil chicken eggs hard, peel them, and cut into small cubes.
- 4
Step 4

Mash the boiled potatoes into a puree, add flour and a teaspoon of vegetable oil, then mix thoroughly until smooth.

Step 5

Now we need to roll out the potato dough into a thin layer, which can be done on a floured surface or using plastic wrap. In a separate bowl, mix the fried onions and egg, season the filling with salt and pepper, then spread it evenly over the potato layer.

Step 6

Carefully roll the potato layer with the filling into a roll and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the roll with flour on all sides.

Step 7

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake the roll for half an hour. The finished dish can be served either hot or cold, whichever you prefer. Enjoy your meal!
