Potato pie in a multicooker
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I've never made yeast dough with mashed potatoes before, but my first attempt was a great success! To make a potato pie in a multicooker, we'll need two large potatoes: I use yellow ones rather than pink, as they cook softer and make better mashed potatoes. Besides cheese and tomatoes, you can also add mushrooms, ham, or anything else your heart desires. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients, boil the potatoes (you can boil them in their skins), then let them cool slightly.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare the sponge: add dry yeast, sugar, and salt to warm water, stir, and let it rise in a warm place. When bubbles appear, the sponge is ready and you can proceed to making the dough.
- 3
Step 3

While the starter is rising, make mashed potatoes from the boiled potatoes. Then add it to the starter, mixing well.
- 4
Step 4

Then pour the vegetable oil into the dough and gradually start incorporating the sifted flour. The dough should turn out elastic, but not sticky or heavy, and should not stick to your hands. Since it's made with potatoes, kneading the dough might be slightly difficult, but it is essential to do it thoroughly.
- 5
Step 5

Cover the ready dough with a towel and lightly sprinkle with flour; let it rise in a warm place for about 40-45 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling: drain the liquid from the mozzarella (if desired, you can even rinse the cheese slightly), then cut the cheese balls into halves or quarters. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.
- 7
Step 7

The dough has risen, knead it again — and you can start baking. Grease the multicooker bowl with butter and lightly dust with flour.
- 8
Step 8

Shape the dough into a disc that fits the shape of the multicooker bowl, and place the dough inside. Evenly spread mozzarella cheese on top, pressing it slightly into the dough.
- 9
Step 9

And add the tomatoes. Set the "Baking" mode for 45 minutes. If desired, you can sprinkle the finished pie with grated cheese or herbs.
- 10
Step 10

Let the ready-made potato pie cool down after cooking in the multicooker; you can serve it with sour cream, for example.
