Potato pie made with puff pastry
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you're interested, the baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, prepare all the ingredients for the filling. While doing this, take the puff pastry out of the freezer to thaw. Peel the potatoes, wash them, and slice them very thinly.
- 2
Step 2

Roll out the thawed dough and divide it into two layers. Place the thinly sliced potatoes on one of the layers. Do this so that there are no gaps.
- 3
Step 3

Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings (or half-rings) as well. A special grater attachment makes this easier. Place a layer of onion over the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Create several layers of potatoes and onions.
- 4
Step 4

Cover the filling with the second layer of dough. Seal the edges well by crimping them. Make several cuts in the center to allow steam to escape easily during cooking.
- 5
Step 5

Place the pie on a baking sheet. Since puff pastry is already quite fatty, there's no need to grease it additionally. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius and bake the pie for an hour.
