Potato Kugel
Description
Kugel – a dish of Jewish cuisine, so the casserole contains no dairy products. Only eggs are added, which “hold the shape” and help the casserole develop a golden crust.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater, and the onion on a fine one. Crush the garlic with a press. If the potatoes are too juicy, squeeze them a little.

Add the eggs, season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle in the flour and mix the mixture well.

Step 4

Spread the mixture into a greased pan in a not too thick layer. Smooth it out and drizzle with olive oil. Bake until a golden crust forms, then reduce the heat to 160 °C and cover with foil. Bake until the potatoes are done. Remove the foil and let stand in the turned‑off oven for 10 minutes.
