Potato bread in a multicooker
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Unlike regular yeast bread, this one has a moister consistency, achieved by adding potatoes. The potatoes don't affect the taste, but this bread stays fresh longer and doesn't dry out. Never store the baked bread in plastic bags. It's better to use a bread box or paper bags with small holes poked in them, allowing the bread to "breathe" and preventing mold. Serve with tea or coffee.

Step 1

First, peel and rinse a large potato. Grate it on a coarse grater. Drain the excess juice released during grating, as it is not needed in the dough. If there is too much liquid, place the grated potato onto a paper towel to absorb the excess moisture.

Step 2

Now it's time to knead the dough. Put the potatoes into a large bowl, add water and vegetable oil, then mix in sugar and salt. Gradually add flour and dry yeast. Carefully knead everything until you get a smooth, uniform mixture. Since our dough is yeast-based, let it rest for a while.

Step 3

I cover the prepared dough with a clean towel and let it rest in a warm place. When the dough has risen, gently press it down. Now everything is ready, and the dough can be transferred to the multicooker bowl. The bowl should be greased with vegetable oil beforehand.

Step 4

Potato bread is baked using the "Multicook" or "Baking" mode. The average cooking time for bread in a multicooker is one hour and forty minutes. This time can reach up to 2 hours, depending on the multicooker model. Wait for 1 hour and 40 minutes, then quickly open the lid. If a golden crust has formed on top, the bread should be ready. Open the lid and let the bread cool slightly right in the pot. Then remove it and slice. The bread is ready.
