Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Today for lunch I have a delicious potato gratin with meat, or simply put — a meat and potato casserole. I can confidently assure you: it's very, very tasty. And it's also simple. The entire cooking process will take a little over an hour, but you'll only spend 15-20 minutes of active time. As a result, you'll have a complete lunch with delicious meat and a side dish. The finished dish can be served at the table.

    Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and rinse the vegetables. If you are making the minced meat yourself, pass the meat through a meat grinder, but today I will use ready-made minced meat.

    Slice the onion into thin half-rings and sauté in a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan until translucent.

    In another skillet, sauté the ground meat, stirring frequently to keep it crumbly. Add 2 garlic cloves, previously crushed with a knife. Also add paprika, season with salt to taste, and pour in the brandy. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.

    Slice the potatoes very thinly (you can use a vegetable peeler). Place all the potato slices into a deep bowl and cover with cold water to remove excess starch. Then drain the water. Grease a baking dish with butter, place a third of the potato slices in an even layer on the bottom of the dish, and lightly salt.

    Place half of the fried onion on top.

    Place half of the filling, then sprinkle finely chopped herbs on top.

    Place a layer of potatoes, the remaining onion and the minced meat, then cover everything again with the remaining potatoes. Don't forget to lightly salt each layer of potatoes.

    Pour the broth around the edges of the baking dish. Whip the cream together with the yogurt and pour the resulting mixture over the dish. Bake in the oven for 40–50 minutes.

    Then, when the potatoes are already soft, generously sprinkle everything with grated cheese and keep in the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts.
