
Potato tapas
Description
The appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. Tapas is a Spanish appetizer traditionally served with beer or wine. Tapas are usually eaten by hand. Tapas can be either cold or hot appetizers. You can find them in any bar in Spain. But they can also be prepared at home. Try making potato tapas. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

1. Peel and boil the potatoes. Drain and let stand for 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper, grease the container with butter, and mash.

2. Add ¼ of the milk and mash for about a minute. Add another ¼ of the milk and mash again. You should get a thick, creamy mixture. Add more milk if needed.

3. Separate the yolk of one egg and mix it with the mashed potatoes. Add ¼ of the flour and mix. Keep adding flour until the mixture becomes stiff.

4. Add the ham and mix with a fork. Each croquette should contain approximately 1 tbsp of the mixture. Take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a sausage. Repeat with all the dough.

5. Put the croquettes in the refrigerator for half an hour. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and place it over medium heat. Beat the egg with a whisk. Transfer the breadcrumbs to a large flat plate.

6. Remove the croquettes from the refrigerator. Brush them with egg, then coat them in breadcrumbs. Fry the croquettes in oil until they are well browned; this will take from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Remove the finished croquettes from the oil and blot them with a paper towel to remove excess fat.
