Potato Sticks with Cheese
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. Potato sticks with cheese are quite simple to make. But here I will mention a few important notes. First of all, I forgot to add that the POTATOES should be boiled IN THEIR SKINS. It is best to add some spicy seasonings to the potato stick mixture, in addition to salt and pepper, so the flavor is richer. Fry the sticks in a pan in oil. Don't skimp on the oil, or the sticks will burn; don't fry over the highest heat. And of course, the sticks are best served with a sauce. The simplest and tastiest sauce is sour cream and ketchup (1:1) with garlic. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, boil the potatoes and grate them on a grater, or run them through a meat grinder or other kitchen appliances. The finer they are grated, the better.
- 2
Step 2

Now add the eggs, salt, ground black pepper, and other spices to the potatoes (to taste — for example, turmeric) and mix thoroughly with your hands.
- 3
Step 3

Now add the flour and mix well.
- 4
Step 4

Hard cheese — gouda works best (it's saltier); cut into sticks.
- 5
Step 5

Next, take the base for the potato sticks and wet your hands with water, then shape flat cakes. Place a stick on the edge of each cake and roll it up. You get a stick. Roll in breadcrumbs and fry in oil on all four sides.
