Potato cutlets with onions
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I suggest an interesting option. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Wash the potatoes, peel them, and cut into small cubes. Add the potatoes to a pot of water and place over medium heat to boil. Cook the potatoes until fully done, about 30 minutes after the water begins to boil. Then drain the water and mash the potatoes as you would for regular mashed potatoes (using a masher or by passing through a meat grinder).

Step 2

2. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Wash the carrot, peel it, and grate on a coarse grater, or alternatively, cut into small cubes or thin strips. Place the onion and carrot onto a preheated skillet with vegetable oil, sauté over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown (approximately 5–7 minutes).

Step 3

3. To the bowl with mashed potatoes, add the sautéed vegetables, break in the egg, and add the flour. Season with salt, pepper, add spices, then mix everything very thoroughly (preferably with your hands).

Step 4

4. Take a baking pan for cookies or muffins, carefully fill it with the potato mixture using a tablespoon. Bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees until golden brown.

Step 5

5. Remove the potato patties with onion from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve warm.
