Potato nests
Description
You can experiment with the filling. Instead of minced meat, it's delicious to add sautéed onions with pieces of bacon. Hard-boiled eggs mixed with mayonnaise and cheese also go very well with this dish. Another filling option is a combination of tomato, red bell pepper, and leek. Serve the nests with sour cream and any other sauces or gravies.

Step 2

Prepare the filling for the potato nests. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a pan together with the ground meat. Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste. Then transfer the meat to a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Step 3

Now it's time to form the nests. Place the potatoes into paper cupcake liners. This is very convenient. Alternatively, you can simply place the potatoes on a baking sheet, making an indentation in each for the filling. Put the meat filling into the nests, then sprinkle with grated cheese on top.

Step 4

Now the nests need to be baked at 200 degrees. They are ready when they develop a beautiful brown crust, which usually takes about 20 minutes. This dish is best served hot.
