
Mashed potatoes with liver
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Potato puree with liver is an ideal option for lunch or dinner. You can take this dish to work or on a trip in a lunch box. It can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Serve hot, accompanied with a pickle or marinated cucumber, sauerkraut, fresh vegetables, etc.

Prepare the listed ingredients, peel the potatoes, and rinse them.

Slice the root vegetables and put the slices into a saucepan. Pour in hot water, add 2 pinches of salt, and boil until tender, removing the foam.

While the potatoes are boiling, fry the chicken liver. Peel the onion, rinse it, and cut into small cubes. Rinse the chicken liver and gently pat dry with paper towel. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it, and add the chopped onion. Sauté until golden brown.

Place the chicken liver in the pan and fry over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, turning the offal occasionally.

At the very end of frying, season the liver to taste with salt. This should be done at the end to keep it soft and tender.

Drain the liquid from the cooked potatoes.

Be sure to warm milk of any fat content in the microwave or in a saucepan, then pour it into the container with boiled potatoes and add butter. If you use cold milk, you'll end up with gray-colored mashed potatoes.
