Mashed potatoes with goulash
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. You can stew the goulash in a frying pan, a pot, or a multicooker, for example. By the way, not only pork but also beef will work well. If the tomatoes are too sour, be sure to add a pinch of sugar to make the sauce tastier. The ready dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, wash and peel the vegetables, rinse the meat and pat it dry. Prepare the remaining ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Place the chopped onion into a frying pan with heated vegetable oil and fry until translucent.
- 3
Step 3

Next, add the meat cut into small pieces and sear over high heat until a crust forms.
- 4
Step 4

Then add the carrots, reduce the heat to medium, and fry for another 2-3 minutes. During this time, mash the tomatoes.
- 5
Step 5

Place the mashed tomatoes in a pan, mix and simmer for about 30 minutes. Then add salt and spices, continue simmering until tender (cooking time may vary depending on the size of the pieces and the type of meat).

Step 6

To prepare mashed potatoes, cut the peeled potatoes into pieces, cover with water, and place over heat. After boiling, add salt and cook until done (about 30 minutes).

Step 7

Drain the water from the cooked potatoes, but save it. Pour in hot milk, add butter, and begin mashing, adding the potato cooking water as needed.

Potato mash can be served with goulash.
