Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash and peel the potatoes. Place the potatoes in water, add salt, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and cook until tender (fully cooked).
- 2
Step 2

When the potatoes are almost ready, place the cream or sour cream on the stove to warm up. Heat them thoroughly, but do not boil under any circumstances.
- 3
Step 3

We drain the water from the potatoes, leaving just a little bit. Then, using a blender in pulse mode, we mash the potatoes.
- 4
Step 4

Gradually pour in the heated cream and continue mashing the potatoes.
- 5
Step 5

The potato mixture should be smooth and free of lumps. Then add butter, season with salt and pepper, cover with a lid, and set the mashed potatoes aside.
- 6
Step 6

Heat a little olive or butter in a frying pan.
- 7
Step 7

Place finely chopped garlic into the oil. Sauté briefly, then add the sliced mushrooms, salt to taste, and cook until done, stirring constantly (about 7–13 minutes).
- 8
Step 8

Then place the mashed potatoes on a plate, top with the sautéed mushrooms, and serve.
