Potato-crab cutlets
Description
We've made potato-crab patties several times over the past few months. We've tried using real crab meat (which is more expensive) as well as regular imitation crab sticks—both versions turn out delicious (though the real crab is, of course, better). The kids absolutely love these patties, and we end up having a few ourselves (they're actually an excellent snack with beer!). If you enjoy the taste of potato casseroles and crab meat, you'll definitely like these potato-crab patties.
Instructions

Step 1

Ingredients for preparing the dish are as follows. Instead of crab meat, you can use finely chopped imitation crab sticks.
- 2
Step 2

Cooking potato-crab cakes is very simple. Finely chop the green onion (you can use regular onion as well, but then it should be chopped very finely).
- 3
Step 3

Mix the purée, crab meat, and herbs. Add spices. The mixture should become quite thick and homogeneous.
- 4
Step 4

Form patties from the resulting mixture (this amount of ingredients yields 5-6 patties). Fry them on both sides in a skillet until a crispy crust forms.

Step 5

Best served with vegetables and sauce.
