Potato casserole with minced meat in a pan
Description
A simple and straightforward dish for lunch or dinner—perfect for those who are very hungry, as it's quite filling. With just a few ingredients, you can make this delicious potato casserole with ground meat right in a skillet. I usually prepare this dish at my cottage, where I don't have an oven. If you have leftover boiled potatoes, the dish will come together even faster. Just lightly fry the boiled potatoes over high heat until they develop a crispy crust.
Instructions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut them into small julienne strips. Heat a skillet with 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil and fry the potatoes until almost cooked. Season with salt and pepper at the end.

Step 2

Peel the onion and carrot. Cut the onion into cubes and grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Sauté the onion and carrot in vegetable oil until soft, then add the minced meat and cook for about 7-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

You can use tomato slices to garnish the finished dish, or place them on the casserole together with cheese so they soften slightly.
