Potatoes in their skins
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Boiling potatoes in their skins is ridiculously simple. 1. Wash the potatoes, but do not peel them. You can clean off the dirt using a special brush. 2. Bring water to a boil, then add salt and thyme. 3. Add the potatoes to the boiling water. Bring back to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for another 20–30 minutes, until done. The potatoes in their skins are ready. If you plan to use them for salads (in general, boiling potatoes in their skins is the best method for salad), rinse them under cold water, cool down, and then use. If the potatoes in their skins are to be served as a side dish, simply drain the water and peel off the skin (it will come off very easily). Potatoes in their skins go perfectly with salted pork, herring, and sauerkraut. Serve the finished dish at the table.
