
Potatoes with bacon
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. It's a type of potato casserole with cheese, wrapped in thin slices of bacon. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Step 1

Slice the potatoes. Place the potato slices in a saucepan, cover with water, add salt, and bring to a boil. As soon as it boils, remove from heat and drain in a colander. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Pour oil into a skillet (without a handle, or with a removable handle). Arrange thin slices of bacon as shown in the picture.

Place one-third of the potatoes on the bacon, season with salt and pepper, and add half of the grated cheese.

Make another layer of potatoes, add the remaining cheese, and top with the final layer of potatoes. Arrange bacon slices from the edge.

Place the skillet over high heat for 2 or 3 minutes. Then put it in the oven for about 40 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

Turn onto a plate. Serve, if possible, with a green salad and a good French sauce (vinaigrette).
