
Potatoes with cheese and green onions
Description
Potatoes prepared according to this recipe have a crispy crust and a tender, buttery, creamy flavor. Green onions can be replaced with chopped garlic, if desired.

1. Grate the cheese and chop the green onions. Pierce the potatoes with a fork, sprinkle with salt, wrap in a damp paper towel, and place in the microwave for 15 minutes. The potatoes should remain firm. Set aside to cool, then slice into pieces.

2. Take out a muffin or bun tin with compartments. Place a piece of butter into each compartment.

3. Then place a slice of potato, a pinch of salt and pepper, grated cheddar cheese, and chopped green onion into each compartment. Repeat the layers: potato, salt and pepper, cheese, onion. Make 2-3 layers in this way. Optionally, you can add a layer of diced ham.

4. Place a slice of butter on top of each compartment and pour 1 teaspoon of milk mixed with cream over it.

5. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese melts and the potatoes turn brown.
