Beef and potato baked in the oven
Description
To successfully prepare beef and potato casserole in the oven, you need to choose the right meat. It should be a tender cut from young beef or, even better, veal. If you have any doubts, you can marinate the already cut meat pieces beforehand for 4 hours, or preferably overnight. Always sear the meat in small batches over high heat—this way it will fry rather than stew. You can cover the meat with plain water or broth. I prefer to use tomato juice or diluted tomato paste. You may also add some herbs. There shouldn't be too much liquid in the casserole dish. Good luck and enjoy!
