Description
The recipe won't take much time. Finnish-style potatoes can be a real culinary discovery for those who haven't yet tried this simple, hearty, and very tasty dish. Check out the step-by-step recipe and enjoy cooking. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Place several pieces of butter at the bottom of the baking dish.
- 3
Step 3

Place a layer of potato sliced into rounds, season with pepper, add a minced garlic clove, and a little butter.
- 4
Step 4

Layer the remaining potatoes, season with pepper again, pour in the cream, add a bay leaf and 1-2 sprigs of rosemary. I don't recommend adding salt, as potatoes become firm when salted; it's better to season with salt directly in the serving dish.
- 5
Step 5

Cover the potatoes with foil, place in the oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes uncovered, until the potatoes are golden brown.
- 6
Step 6

When serving, season the potatoes to taste with salt and sprinkle with herbs (dill, parsley, green onion). Potatoes baked in cream are very tender and delicious; they can be served as a main dish or used as a side. I highly recommend trying this simple, hearty, and comforting dish!
