
Stuffed potato with cottage cheese
Description
Potato side dish can be served with baked meat, fish, or sausages. The dish turns out juicy and filling, and it's suitable to take along on a trip, picnic, to work, or to school. You may add various spices, herbs, or seasonings to taste.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the potatoes and rinse them in water.

Place the peeled vegetables in a pot, pour in hot water to cover the tubers, and boil for about 20–25 minutes, adding salt to the water. The larger the tubers, the longer they will take to cook. You can add a few bay leaves to the water for flavor.

When the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the pot and cut each in half horizontally. Use a teaspoon to scoop out the centers from the potato halves, creating boat-shaped shells. Grease a baking dish with vegetable or butter, or even with lard. Place the potato shells into the dish.

Place cottage cheese of any fat content into a deep bowl, add a chicken egg and sprinkle in salt. Thoroughly mix everything in the container.

Fill the potato shells with cottage cheese and place the dish in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
