Carp baked in the oven with potatoes and sour cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Colorful, golden-brown carp with a sour cream crust is a perfect dish for lunch or dinner. Optionally, you can rub a garlic clove into the sour cream to give the dish a new flavor and aroma. Instead of sour cream, you can use garlic mayonnaise—this is optional. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Buy the fish, carefully checking its freshness. Look under the gills—they should be maroon in color and free of mucus. Scale the carp, make a cut along the belly, and remove the innards. Rinse the fish thoroughly inside and out.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the potatoes and onions, then rinse them in water. Cut the potatoes into large slices and quarter the onions.
- 3
Step 3

Season the fish and sliced vegetables with salt and pepper. Grease the foil or baking dish with vegetable oil, place the sliced vegetables on it, and put the fish on top. Preheat the oven to 210 degrees.
- 4
Step 4

Coat the fish with sour cream of any fat content and place the baking sheet in the oven for 30-40 minutes, depending on the size of the fish.
- 5
Step 5

Carefully remove the fish from the oven. If the tail sticks to the baking sheet, just break it off—no problem.
- 6
Step 6

Place the fish with potatoes on a serving dish. If necessary, cut the fish or break it apart. Serve hot.
