
Czech-style carp
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The Czech-style carp recipe is very simple to make and affordable for everyone: 1. Clean, gut, and wash the fresh carp. 2. Coat the prepared fish with vegetable oil, season with salt and pepper, and refrigerate for 2 hours. 3. Fry whole garlic cloves, then remove from the pan. 4. Dredge the fish in flour and fry until golden brown. 5. Mash the garlic with a spoon. 6. Squeeze juice from the lemons. 7. Mix garlic, almonds, lemon juice, and half of the wine. 8. Add salt to taste. 9. Rub the mixture over the outside and inside of the carp. 10. Mix the remaining wine with water. 11. Pour the mixture over the fish. 12. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). 13. Lightly grease a baking tray with vegetable oil. 14. Place the fish on the tray. 15. Bake for 30–40 minutes. 16. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. 17. Sprinkle the cheese over the fish. 18. Leave in the oven for another 5–10 minutes, until the cheese melts. 19. Remove the fish from the oven and cut into portions. 20. Sprinkle with fresh herbs. 21. Garnish with sliced tomatoes and olives. 22. Serve hot. The dish is now ready to be served.
