Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can use fresh, salted, or smoked bacon.
- 2
Step 2

Bring water to a boil in a pot, saucepan, or kettle, add a pinch of salt, and place the spaghetti into the water. For easier cooking, break the pasta in half. Cook for about 8–10 minutes over medium heat.
- 3
Step 3

Grease the frying pan with vegetable oil. Cut the bacon into slices and place them in the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then transfer the bacon onto a plate.

Step 4

Turn off the heat. Add the hot spaghetti to the skillet, previously draining it in a colander. Pour white wine into the skillet, add salt and ground black pepper. Add the egg yolks. Mix everything for about 2 minutes, allowing the yolks to thicken but not cook. Do not turn the heat back on; the heat from the hot skillet will be sufficient.

Step 6

Place the spaghetti on a plate, add slices of fried bacon, and sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Serve spaghetti "Carbonara" warm.
