
Carp à la Chekhov
Description
Carp in Czech style — a tasty, nutritious, and filling dish. This fish tastes very similar to carp, which is no surprise since both crucian carp and carp belong to the same family. The dish is very simple and relatively quick to prepare.

Prepare the ingredients for making Chekhov-style bream.

Peel the onion, wash it, and slice into half-rings. Place in a frying pan with vegetable oil.

Fry the onion until translucent.

Clean the crucian carp of scales, gut them, and wash inside and outside. Make several shallow cuts on both sides of the fish.

Salt and pepper the fish. Dredge well in flour on both sides and place on a hot oiled skillet.

Quickly sear the crucian carps on both sides until a light golden crust forms over medium-high heat.

Place half of the fried onions into a baking dish.

Place the crucian carps on top of the onion.

Cover the fish with the second portion of fried onions.

Coat the crucian carp with sour cream and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
