Baked crucian carp in salt
Description
Baked carp in salt will turn out very juicy, steamed, and delicious, but not too salty. If desired, you can sprinkle the fish with lemon juice before baking to remove the river smell.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Thoroughly clean the fish from scales, innards, and the dark internal membrane. Rinse under water and dry with paper towels. You can use large or small crucian carp, depending on your preference.
- 2
Step 2

Pour half of the fine table salt into a baking dish and level it. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 3
Step 3

Place the crucian carp on the salt, arranging them so that they do not overlap each other.
- 4
Step 4

Sprinkle the remaining salt over the fish, trying to cover it completely, and smooth it out.
- 5
Step 5

Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, depending on the size of the fish, until cooked through.
- 6
Step 6

Remove the pan from the oven and pierce the rock salt with a knife, breaking it into pieces and removing the fish. Be careful, as the fish will be very tender.
- 7
Step 7

Serve the crucian carp hot.
