
Caramel cookies with peanuts

First you should prepare the dough. To do this, sift flour and salt into a deep bowl. Add melted butter and rub it into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add water. Knead the dough.

Roll out into a rectangle and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15–20 minutes.

Then fry the peanuts in a frying pan over medium heat. Then add 100 grams of butter. When the butter has melted, add the sugar. When the sugar darkens, add 100 grams of sour cream and 2 tablespoons of starch to the frying pan.

Fry over high enough heat so everything boils vigorously.

When the filling reaches the consistency shown in the photo, set it aside.

Spread the filling over the baked cake layer. Spread it evenly over the whole surface and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.
