Caramel for cake
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This homemade caramel for cake will be a real find. It works perfectly both as a filling and as a topping glaze. If desired, you can add cinnamon, poppy seeds, or even sesame. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Then gradually add sugar, allowing each portion to dissolve over low heat before adding the next.
- 2
Step 2

2. When all the sugar has dissolved, cover the pan with a lid and bring to a vigorous boil over high heat. The temperature should be quite high.
- 3
Step 3

3. In a separate saucepan or skillet, combine the cream and vanilla pod. You can optionally use vanillin in the caramel recipe for cake, but the aroma will be less intense.
- 4
Step 4

4. The caramel should become a rich brown color.
- 5
Step 5

5. At this point, slowly pour in the hot cream in a thin stream (carefully remove the vanilla pod beforehand), stirring constantly.
- 6
Step 6

6. Remove from heat, continuing to stir. Add butter. In this simple caramel recipe for cake, I recommend adding a pinch of salt for a pleasant tang. Stir once more and add any desired mix-ins or spices for flavor. Once the caramel has cooled slightly, it can be applied to the cake.
