Cabbage soup
Description
Delicious baked dish for the whole family. You can modify and add to the filling ingredients; it's especially tasty to add pieces of sautéed chicken breast or mushrooms to the cabbage strips. I used a 20 cm baking pan for preparation. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

It is very convenient to place all the ingredients on the table right away. Rinse the cabbage under running water.
- 2
Step 2

Shred the cabbage into thin strips.
- 3
Step 3

Then place all the cabbage into a large bowl, pour boiling water over it, and let it sit for 15 minutes—this will soften the cabbage if you're using a winter variety; if your cabbage is young and tender, you can skip this step.
- 4
Step 4

In a separate bowl, pour the ryazhenka, add baking soda, salt, and sugar. Mix well. Let it sit for 10 minutes—during this time, the baking soda will react with the ryazhenka.
- 5
Step 5

Then add the melted butter and mix everything with a whisk.
- 6
Step 6

Sift the flour in parts and incorporate it into the liquid mixture.
- 7
Step 7

As a result, you should have a fairly runny batter.
- 8
Step 8

Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and place half of the dough on it, smoothing it out with a spoon.
- 9
Step 9

In a separate bowl, grate the feta cheese on a coarse grater, add the prepared cabbage (drain all the liquid beforehand), and add the spices. Mix everything well with a spoon.
- 10
Step 10

Spread this filling in an even layer over the dough in the pan, smoothing it with a spoon.
- 11
Step 11

Spread the remaining dough evenly on top and generously sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180°C for 50 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Cool the finished cake and cut it into portion pieces, then serve.
- 13
Step 13

Ready. Serve at the table.
