Cabbage with Horseradish for Winter

Description

A simple way to make preserves for later. For clarity, I’ve posted a recipe for making cabbage with horseradish for winter, with photos. Making pickles is very easy—you first need to prepare the vegetables and boil the brine. Jars keep for up to a year in a cool place.

    Prepare the marinade. Add water, sunflower oil, sugar, salt, and pepper to a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Add the vinegar last and wait until the marinade has cooled.

    Clean the cabbage, carrots, horseradish, and bell pepper, rinse with cold water, and pat dry.

    Remove rotten leaves from the cabbage and shred it on a grater. Grate the carrots into strips.

    Grate the bell pepper and horseradish into matchsticks. Peel the garlic.

    Pack all the vegetables tightly into the jar. Pour the brine into the jar.
