
Cabbage with Garlic

Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage, cut out the core, then cut it into large pieces.

Grate the peeled carrots on a coarse grater and press the peeled garlic through a garlic press. In a large pot, layer the cabbage, carrots, garlic, peppers, and caraway seeds.

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and salt; bring to a boil, then add the vinegar. Pour the hot marinade over the vegetables and place the saucepan under a weight. The cabbage can be served after 2 days.
