Description

If you've been to Thailand, you've surely tried this dish. Rice with pieces of pork baked in barbecue sauce, served with Thai (or Chinese) sausages and an egg, all topped with a red sauce. Try making this delicious Thai dish at home—you won't regret it.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Mix all the marinade ingredients in a blender.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Rinse the tenderloin, pat dry, and if you have a wide piece, cut it into two parts to get narrower pieces.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Pour the pork pieces with the resulting mixture and refrigerate overnight to marinate.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Take the pork out of the marinade and bake it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 50 minutes.

  5. 5

    Step 5

After about 25 minutes, brush the meat with honey to get a golden crispy crust while baking.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Boil the rice. It should turn out fluffy.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Prepare the sauce that will be poured over the entire dish. Pour the leftover marinade from the meat into a saucepan—you should have about one and a half cups. Add half a cup of water and one tablespoon of honey. Bring to a boil. Dissolve the starch in a glass of water, then slowly pour it into the boiling sauce, stirring constantly. Add sesame seeds, bring to a boil again, taste the sauce, and add salt or sugar to your liking.

  8. 8

    Step 8

Place rice on a plate, then add sliced baked pork and pieces of Thai sausage. Add the halved boiled egg, pour the prepared sauce over everything, and serve with sliced fresh cucumbers.
