1. Pour the milk into a bowl, add vanilla, place over heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat, add softened butter and stir until dissolved. In a separate bowl, mix eggs with yolks, vanilla and sugar, then add sifted flour and stir (do not beat).

2. Gradually pour the slightly cooled milk with butter in a thin stream into the egg mixture, add rum (brandy), mix well, and strain through a sieve to remove any lumps.

3. Cover the liquid dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10-12 hours, or preferably 24 hours. Remove the dough from the refrigerator one hour before baking.

4. Grease the baking molds with oil, pour the batter into the molds, and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 1 hour. Serve the ready-made cannelés with tea.
