Canapés with ham and spinach
Description
Making canapés is very simple. I think you already know the principle well. Choose attractive canapé picks; toothpicks will work too, of course, but the dish should be not only tasty but also beautiful—especially when it’s an appetizer. I added a photo of my ham and spinach canapés still without picks; I didn’t have time to take another photo—everything was eaten. But in this one you can see very clearly how ham and spinach canapés are made. 1. First, prepare the bread. I used seeded black bread. Toast the bread lightly in a skillet or in a toaster. 2. Spread the bread slices with cream cheese. I still recommend using Philadelphia cheese. It pairs wonderfully with spinach! 3. Next goes a spinach leaf on top. Don’t forget to wash the spinach thoroughly! 4. Then add slices of ham. I garnished my ham and spinach canapés with sprigs of rosemary. I recommend you do the same. It tastes great and looks beautiful. Spinach is a very healthy green! Especially when raw. It contains a lot of iron, which, by the way, is recommended to vegetarians as a substitute for iron from meat. In France, spinach is called the king of vegetables! And deservedly so. Spinach has antioxidants that help prevent cancer. Such wonderful ham and spinach canapés will not only decorate your festive table but also do your body a lot of good. Enjoy! The appetizer is ready. Serve right away.
