To prepare the dish, you need to prepare skewers for canapés. You can use wooden or plastic ones.

Cut the hard cheese into large pieces.

Cut the ham into pieces of the same size. The charm and beauty of canapés is that all ingredients should be the same shape, or nearly so.

Slice the pickled cucumbers into rounds. My cucumbers are small, so I sliced them into rounds. If yours are large, it would be better to dice them.

Thread a piece of cheese, ham, and pickle onto each skewer.
