Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. A salted cucumber can be replaced with a fresh one, and black caviar with red caviar or cod roe.
- 2
Step 2

Spread a slice of bread with half of the cream cheese, trying to make the layer as thick as possible.
- 3
Step 3

Using a vegetable peeler, slice the pickled cucumber into ribbons and place them on the cream cheese.
- 4
Step 4

Cut half of the lightly salted salmon into slices and arrange on the cucumber ribbons.
- 5
Step 5

Spread the remaining cheese on the second slice of bread and place the sliced salmon on top. Place the bread on the first slice and insert toothpicks about 1 cm in from the edges of the slice.
- 6
Step 6

Then, using a sharp knife, cut the structure in half down the middle, and then cut each half in half again, to get even square canapé bites.
- 7
Step 7

Garnish the canapés with caviar and pitted olives or black olives, fresh herbs, and serve. Bon appetit!
