Canapés with pesto
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. You can buy Italian pesto sauce in almost any store, but I still recommend making it yourself at home. It doesn’t take much effort or time, and you’ll get a natural product—with no preservatives or food additives. Pesto canapés are very tasty and look appetizing too. Let’s get cooking. 1. We’ll start, of course, with the pesto sauce itself. Wash the fresh basil. 2. Get your blender ready. Add the fresh basil, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese (cut into small pieces), and garlic. Drizzle with olive oil and blend everything well. 3. Season with salt and mix. And there you have pesto sauce! 4. Now for the canapés. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cucumber. 5. Slice the cucumber into thick rounds. 6. Halve the cherry tomatoes. 7. Prepare skewers for the canapés. Spread pesto on every cucumber slice. 8. Top each with half a cherry tomato. 9. To keep the pesto canapés from falling apart, secure them with skewers. That’s how simply and quickly you can make a wonderful appetizer! Pesto canapés look great on any festive table, especially at New Year’s.
