Canapés with Shrimp
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. Canapés are a one-bite appetizer, so you can buy portioned croutons or tartlets for the base in the store, or toast them yourself at home. For the filling layer, processed cheese, a thick cheese sauce, or cheese and egg pâtés work отлично. Choose products that will highlight the shrimp flavor. Don’t forget fresh herbs for garnish.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the shrimp, removing the shells and the vein, trimming the tails. Place them in a small bowl and pour boiling water over them. Since the seafood is pre-cooked and frozen, there’s no need to boil it again.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the lettuce leaves, shake off any excess moisture, and arrange them on a plate. On top, place portioned croutons or baguette/white loaf cut into small squares or rectangles. Put a little processed cheese on each piece; if desired, spread the cheese over the surface.
- 3
Step 3

Place the shrimp on slices of bread. If the seafood is large, cut it into pieces. If it is small, place several on each crouton.
- 4
Step 4

Rinse the cherry tomatoes, cut each one in half, and place them on the cheese so that the tomato half holds and doesn’t slip off. You can press it down slightly.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the pitted olives in half and arrange them on the canapés. If desired, you can slice them into rings or chop them. The olives can be replaced with black olives, capers, etc.
- 6
Step 6

Garnish the colorful canapés with fresh parsley or dill leaves. Don’t forget to pepper and salt the canapés.

Step 7

Serve the prepared dish with aromatic drinks and other appetizers. Enjoy your meal!
