Canapés on skewers
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. There are many options for beautiful and fairly simple appetizers. One of them is the recipe for canapés on skewers presented here. Instructions

Step 1

1. In this case, cherry tomatoes or small tomatoes work best, as homemade canapés on skewers look nicer when cut in half. If you like, you can put the tomatoes in the oven and roast them.

Step 2

2. You can use absolutely any cheese—hard or soft. Hard cheese can be cut into any shape you like—cubes or diamonds, for example. This recipe uses mozzarella, which should be cut into pieces about the size of half a tomato.

Step 3

3. Another important ingredient is fresh basil. You can certainly use other herbs, but in this combination basil is simply perfect. Wash it, dry it, and pick off the leaves.

Step 4

4. How to make canapés on skewers more piquant? Prepare a dressing that will complement the appetizer and bring out the flavor of all the ingredients used. In a small bowl, combine olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, you can also add 1 clove of garlic passed through a press. Mix everything thoroughly until the dressing is smooth and uniform.

Step 5

5. When everything is ready, you can assemble the canapés. Thread a tomato half, a piece of cheese, and a basil leaf folded in half onto a skewer. Add another tomato half and place on a plate. When all the canapés are ready, drizzle with the dressing and serve the appetizer.
